Spacious Junior suites with private en-suite bathroom in a residential and exclusive green area in the heart of Panama city, this is one of the up-scale neighbgorhoods in down-town called  BELLA VISTA (next to Marbella - Calle Uruguay - the restaurant street of the city & the Banking district), where you will find a variety of restaurants (local to up-scale), bars, cafés, a park and the new “Cinta Costera” (waterfront promenade - the famous Balboa Avenue) all minutes walk away. 

Bella Vista is a quaint, bohemian-esque barrio of the city, a gracious area of Art Deco mansions (built by European architects who fled in World War II) for the elite that grew up in the 1930s along the bay. Patty's Casitas B&B revives the discreet elegance and intimate ambiance of a historic mansion, accented by neo-classical ironwork. 

Our home is one of the few remaining colonial houses in Panama City...many have been demolished to accommodate the new high-rises. It was built by an Italian Florentine architect in 1938. Luckily the government has recently passed a law in which a few streets including ours have been declared “historical inheritance” to preserve colonial houses and apartments thus prohibiting the construction of modern buildings which would indeed destroy its artistic and historic personality.

Please note that we have 4 legged children (cats!) but they are not allowed in the guest's suites;-)
