TOUR
DESCRIPTION
Pipeline Road is considered by experts
such as the ABA (American Birding Association), Audubon Society, National
Geographic and Discovery Magazine as one of the best places in the world
for bird watching.
Also
site
of the 1985 world record of Bird Count (385 species of birds were
identified in 24 hours).
It is most accessible- just an
hour from Panama City. Pipeline
was built to transport fuel from one ocean to the other in the event the
Panama Canal was obstructed. Fortunately, it was never used and today it
provides excellent access to primary forest within Soberania National
Park.
Escorted by one of our bilingual, birding/naturalist
guides, we'll have an opportunity to see an array of birds.
This tour requires an early departure for
seeing
the best!
